The GLASSMEN Mourn the loss of Kate Simko

Katherine Simko 1925-2010

The entire GLASSMEN Family mourns the loss of Katherine Simko, longtime bingo volunteer, booster and parent.

A life long resident of Toledo, Kate graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1944, and married John Simko on September 4, 1948 (died April 18, 2001).  Together they shared a wonderful life working and volunteering together running the concessions at the GLASSMEN Bingo.  Although honored as 'Boosters of the Year', there are no words to express the gratitude the organization has for all that they both did for the youth of the corps.  She will certainly be missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 4-8pm with her rosary recital at 7pm at the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home (3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio).  Prayer services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in downtown Toledo.
